I'm wondering if the cartoonist or anyone in his audience has seen the Warner Bros. Cartoon called "Duck Amuck" (1953)? To his great annoyance, Daffy Duck is subjected to various whims of his anonymous and silent cartoonist. Of course, the idea of a "comic wrinkle" is new here and more reflective of an abstract larger force in the universe, but people who want to see a comic hero face an additional series of torments beyond what he normally endures may also want to check out "Duck Amuck."

I just watched "Duck Amuck! on youtube, That is hilarious! I call this kind of thing comic meta - making the characters aware that they are inside a comic strip or film and making that part of the story. I thought it competes with character development but there is a lot of character development for Daffy in Duck Amuck. So far, I have not been so abusive towards my characters, but I do have more in store for Corey (triceratops boy in this one :)

What! It looks like one of them turned into a little devil! Yikes! Also as I read this I started strangely singing the song "I Gotta Feeling...that tonight's gonna be a good night...." so I was a bit distracted.

Corey has in fact turned into a Triceratops dinosaur boy! I must program this site so we can comment on comments!
